Four siblings including Juba League leader detained with arms in Cox’s Bazar

The Rapid Action Battalion detained four siblings including a local leader of Juba League, youth front of ruling Awami League, at Pekua upazila in Cox’s Bazar early Sunday.

Tipped-off, a team of RAB-7 raided the house of Jahangir Alam, 45, president of Pekua upazila unit Juba League, and detained the four along with three firearms, 10 bullets, and cash Tk 17 lakh, said Major Ruhul Amin, commander of RAB-7, Cox’s Bazar.

Jahangir is also the incumbent member of Cox’s Bazar zila parishad.

The other detainees were Md Alamgir, Md Qaiyum, and Sarwar Jahan Bappy.
