MSS, PMECS sign memo to provide eye-care

The eye-care project of Manabik Sahajya Sangstha and Professor Matin Eye Care System on Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding to provide comprehensive eye-care services, including surgeries, to the underprivileged people of the country, said a press release.
PMECS general secretary M Shamsul Huq and MSS executive director ANM Emam Hasanath signed the memorandum on behalf of their organisations.
MSS president Feroz M Hassan and adviser Tarikul Ghani, PMECS vice-president MA Muqueet, joint secretary Md Majed Hossain, Johurul Islam Jewel, secretary Isa Md Mainuddin, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.
The organisers hoped that the collaboration would play an important role in eliminating preventable blindness in the disadvantaged segment of the population, including those living in remote areas of the country.
