Three singers pay tribute to Tagore

Artistes present Tagore songs at the programme.

Three emerging local singers paid their tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on the eve of the poet’s death anniversary through presenting some of his popular songs at Sufia kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum.
The singers were Swati Sarker, Avik Deb and Sumaya Imam, while the programme was organised by Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre.
The artistes chose a number of Tagore’s monsoon songs to pay tribute to the Nobel Laureate poet who was fascinated by monsoon throughout his life and wrote many poems and songs featuring the beauty of monsoon.
The singers presented songs like Badolo Diner Prothomo Kadam Phul, Aji Jhorojhoro Mukhoro, Amar Nishitho Rater Badolodhara, Nil Anjonoghono, Shaono Gogone, Megher Pore Megh, Mon Mor Megher, Aji Jhorer Ratey and others.
