The Forensic Medicine Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital carried out the fresh postmortem on the body of the Bangladesh Chhatra League leader.
‘We have received the autopsy report where it was mentioned that Diaz was murdered,’ said Human Kumar, senior assistant police super (Chittagong zone) of the criminal investigation department and the investigation officer of the case, on Sunday.
On November 23 last, the forensic department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital, that conducted the 1st postmortem, described the incident as a suicide in its report.
However, his family had rejected the autopsy report, alleging that he had been murdered.

On November 24, Diaz’s mother Jaheda Amin Chowdhury filed a case against 10 people, including CU BCL president Alamgir Tipu and CU assistant proctor, with the court of chittagong senior judicial magistrate Shiblu Kumar.
