Int’l academics exchange ideas on social business

A preparatory meeting of Social Business Day 2017 was held on Sunday at Mirpur in the capital ahead of Business Academia Conference- 2017 to be held in Paris, said a press release.
The fifth edition of the conference will be held in November 8-9 and academics from across the world will join the event to discuss the academic aspects of social business.
About 120 faculty members from 30 universities around the world attended the preparatory meeting.
The academics discussed social business and also incorporating social business issues in academic curriculum.
Chaired by Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, the meeting was addressed by Professor Cam Donaldson, pro-vice-chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University of Scotland, Yunus Centre executive director Lamiya Morshed, Professor Chien-wen Shen of National Central University, Taiwan, Professor Zhao Meng of Renmin University of China, Professor Faiz Shah, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and Ashir Ahmed, Kyushu University, Japan, the release said.
