Trilok holds poetry evening

Recitation artistes entertained the audience by reciting poems glorifying the monsoon at TSC of Dhaka University on Friday.
Recitation organisation Trilok Bachik Pathsala organised the programme titled ‘Kadomer Paane Badoler Khola Chithi’ as part its regular monthly programme.
The event featured performances by Trilok artistes and guest performers.
Recitation artiste Nazmul Ahsan recited Firoz Ahmed’s Kasar Bati and excerpts from poems of Rudra Muhammad Shahidullah. Fayzul Alam Pappu, Tomal Ahsan and Ibal Khorshed, among others, performed at the programme.
Trilok artiste Shefali Shelly recited Rituraj Firoz’s poem Megher Nayon Chithi-2 and Raihan Ahmed Riad recited Mahfuz Rajon’s poem Kobike Dukkho Diyona, while Mahmud Rahman recited Arif Mainuddin’s poem Tomar Songe Hotath Dekha at the show.
Two recitation albums of reciter Nazmul Ahsan namely Ei Khuner Sohore Ekdin Brishty Hobe and Monputhir Padabali were launched at the event.
Ei Khuner Sohore Ekdin Brishty Hobe includes poems penned by Syed Shamsul Haque, Rudra Muhammad Shahidullah, Humayun Azad, Rabindranath Tagore and others, while Monputhir Padabali includes poems of different poets including Firoz Ahmed, Shihab Shahriar and Kazi Jahirul Islam.
Cultural personality Syed Hasan Imam, noted reciters Ashraful Alam, Shimul Mustafa, Golam Sarwar, Rupa Chakraborty and poets Firoz Ahmed and Robin Ahsan were present at event.
