Being repeatedly knifed mercilessly in full public view by a group of Bangladesh Chhatra League activists though he begged to spare his life Bisawjit died on the spot.
A bench of Justice Md Ruhul Quddus and Justice Bhishmadev Chakrabortty set the date after hearing the death reference and the appeals.

The eight include Rafiqul Islam Shakil, Mahfuzur Rahman Nahid, Emdadul Haque Emdad, GM Rasheduzzaman Shawon, Saiful Islam alias Saiful, Qaium Mia Tipu, Rajon Talukder and Mir Nur-e Alam Limon.
