Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia reached London on Sunday afternoon.
Her elder son Tarique Rahman, also BNP senior vice-chairman, received Khaleda Zia at Heathrow international airport in London, BNP chairperson’s press wing member Shamsuddin Dider told New Age.
The flight that carried Khaleda arrived at the airport at about 12:30pm Bangladesh time, Dider said.
Many leaders and activists of BNP UK chapter welcomed Khaleda, also former prime minister, at the airport, he said.
Later, Tarique drove her mother to his residence.
Khaleda Zia left Dhaka for London in a flight of Emirates on Saturday evening for treatment of her eye and knee.
