Popular actress Eamin Haque Boby will play superheroine in her upcoming film Bijli, which is in post-production stage.
The film has been shot at different locations in Bangladesh and Thailand, said Bobby.
Bobby plays the protagonist in Bijli, which depicts how an ordinary woman becomes a superheroine with a stroke of luck and fights crime.
‘The story revolves around a woman who gets struck by lightning and receives the power to control electricity,’ said Boby, who is also the producer of the film.
‘I became a producer because I want to play my part in reviving the local film industry by making quality films. I want to make good films for moviegoers,’ said Boby.
‘When it comes to making films maintaining quality is very important. My upcoming film Bijli is undergoing post production in the USA and India. I am optimistic that after the film hits the cinemas it will receive good response from moviegoers,’ Boby added.
‘The film is totally out of the box comparing to other local films. This is probably going to be our very first superhero film and I believe people will like it very much,’ she said
Iftekher Chowdhury is the director of the film, which also features Ilias Kanchan, Ranabir, Ahmed Rubel and others.
Speaking about her other projects Boby said she has acted in the film Briddhasrom (Old Home), which will be released soon. Directed by singer SD Rubel, the government grant winning film casts Prabir Mitra, SD Rubel and others.
