3,100 telephone lines, internet disconnected in capital

Nearly 3,100 telephone lines and internet services of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited at different areas in Dhaka South City Corporation is disconnected due to snatching of its underground cable.
The clients of Khilgaon Chourasta, Banashree, Goran, Nandipara, Khilgaon B-block, Kakrail, Shantinagar, Fakirapul, Sidderswary, Mogbazar and Sayedabad areas have been out of connection both telephone and internet following massive damaged of underground cable for the development works of DSCC and Dhaka WASA, said a BTCL press release on Monday.
BTCL is working for the reinstatement of the disconnected telephone lines and internet connection.
BTCL authority regretted to its valued customers for the unexpected inconvenience, the release added.
