The division in two separate letters suspended them on Monday.
Quoting the LGD letter, the division’s deputy director Abu Nur Md Shamsuzzaman said that the two elected local government representatives were suspended according to the Local Government (Municipality) Act 2009 as a court on June 13 took a charge sheet against 38 people, including the duo.

The journalist succumbed to his injuries on the following day.
A murder case was filed with Shahjadpur police station accusing 38 people, including Miru as the prime suspect.
