Three restaurants fined in Dhaka

A Dhaka Metropolitan Police mobile court on Saturday, led by its executive magistrate Moshiur Rahman, fined three restaurants in the capital’s Farmgate area Tk 2 lakh for preserving and selling unhygienic food items.
‘Chandrima Restaurant and Mini Chinese was fined Tk 1 lakh while Kasturi Chayanir and Thai Chinese Restaurant and New Star Kebab were fined Tk 50 thousand each,’ a DMP release said.
The activities of DMP’s mobile courts against food adulteration, preserving and selling of unhygienic food throughout the capital during the holy month of Ramadan were being lauded by the city dwellers.
DMP stressed on continuing the activities of its mobile courts in this regard.
