Filmmaker Mostafa Sarwar Farooki has taken an initiative to produce twelve teleplays, among which seven will be aired in the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr while the rest will be aired during Eid-ul-Azha.
Besides the teleplays twelve feature films will also be produced under the initiative, through which Farooki hopes to make the viewers interested in local productions.
‘Due to lack of quality productions the viewers are losing interest in locally produced teleplays. We want to make quality teleplays to make the viewers interested in local productions,’ said Farooki, adding that the productions will be released from his production house Chhobial.
‘This Eid we have produced seven teleplays, while five more teleplays will be made for Eid-ul-Adha. We will also make twelve films in future’, said Farooki.
The teleplays, to be aired during Eid-ul-Fitr, are Adnan Al Rajib’s Bikal belar Pakhi, Ashfaq Nipun’s Chheleta Kintu Bhalo Chhilo, Ashutosh Sujon’s Putuler Sangsar, Sharaf Ahmed Jibon’s Abar Tora Sahb Ho, Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi’s Nongor Feli Ghatey Ghatey, Humayun Sadhu’s Chikon Pin-er Charger and Redoan Rony’s Mr Jony.
The teleplays will be aired at 9:30pm on ETV for seven consecutive days as part the channel’s of Eid special programmes.
Eminent actors like Shatabdi Wadud, Dilara Zaman, Iresh Zaker, Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Fazlur Rahman Babu and others have acted in the teleplays, which have been produced under a project named Chhobial Eid Reunion. Banglalink and Dhanichitra are sponsors of the initiative.
