A joint venture of companies from Japan, Singapore and Bangladesh was engaged on Sunday as the consultant for the construction of a third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
A contract was signed on the between the joint venture and the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
The joint venture of Nippon Koei Co Ltd and Oriental Consultants Global Co Ltd of Japan, CPG Consultants Pvt Ldt of Singapore and Development Design Consultant of Bangladesh would get Tk 570 crore for the consultation service, according to the contract.
Officials said that the construction of the third terminal was expected to begin in 2018.
