The authorities of Intermediate and Secondary Education Board, Rajshahi, filed a case against two teachers, who were found examining answer scripts by unauthorised persons.
Such an incident came to light after more than a hundred answer scripts of recently held HSC exams were recovered from Munnujan Hall of Rajshahi University.
Tarun Kumar Sarkar, controller of the board, filed the case with Boalia Model Police Station of the city on Thursday night against Rajshahi New Government Degree Collage assistant professor Abul Kalam and Shah Makhdum College lecturer Masudul Hasan under the Public Examination Criminal Act of 1980, said Solaiman Haque, sub-inspector of the police station.
However, police was yet to arrest anyone in this connection, the SI also said.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, Rajshahi University authorities recovered more than a hundred copies of answer scripts from Munnujan hall of the university and handed over to the board.
Those answer scripts were supposed to be evaluated by Professor Abul Kalam. But, he gave those transcripts to Md Masudul Hasan, lecturer of Shah Makhdum Collage in Rajshahi, who gave those papers to one of his students.
The student later gave those papers to his female friend to evaluate.
On the following day, the intermediate and secondary education board, Rajshahi, formed a three members’ committee to investigate into the incident and asked the committee to submit its report within seven consecutive days.
On that day, Secondary and Higher Education Division of the education ministry published an order where Professor Abul Kalam was made an officer on special duty.
