The Bangladesh Nationalist Party would submit a memorandum to the authorities concerned protesting at the raid on its chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office at Gulshan on Saturday.
A meeting of BNP standing committee, the party’s highest policy-making body, at Khaleda’s office Sunday evening, also decided to hold protest meeting across the country, including in Dhaka city, protesting at the raid, a standing committee member said.
If the party is denied permission to hold the protest rallies, BNP would go for street agitation, the leader said.
BNP on Saturday announced countrywide demonstrations for Sunday protesting against the raid.
