Bangladesh boy’s team advanced into the final of the ITF Asian 12 & Under Team Championship ‘South Asia Regional Qualifying’ thanks to their 3-0 win over Bhutan in the semi-final by 3-0 in Kathmandu, Nepal on Thursday.
Rumman won the first match to give Bangladesh a 1-0 lead in the semi-final while Mehedi Hasan Alvi won the second match to give his country a 2-0 lead.
Bangladesh completed the rout after Rumman, Alvi duo won their doubles match.
Bangladesh will take on the hosts in the final today.
With the win, Bangladesh boys also qualified for the final round of the ITF Asian Under-12 Championship, to be held in Kazakhstan later this year.
Though, it was sweet experience for the Bangladeshi boys, girls lost by 0-3 to India in the semi-final.
