Gazi Group Cricketers’ winning run in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League ended abruptly on Thursday when Kalabagan Krira Chakra handed them a massive 127-run loss on Thursday at Fatullah.
Kalabagan made a modest total of 222-9 thanks to the century of their opening batsman Tasamul Haque but their bowlers put a combined effort to help them bundle out Gazi for just 95 runs in 32.5 overs to hand the side their first defeat in 10 matches.
Junaid Siddique also scored a ton in the other match for his side Brothers Union that played the pivotal role for them to beat Mohammedan Sporting Club by 129 runs at BKSP.

Kalabagan expected an onslaught in the last five overs but they lost six wickets for just 18 to finish with a score lot lower than their expectation.
But in defending the score Kalabagan bowlers started to make early inroads as left-arm spinner Sanjit Saha got rid of Jahirul Islam for one and Mominul Haque for a duck while Tushar dismissed Anamul Haque(16) and Mehedi Hasan (zero) to reduce Gazi to 22-4.
