The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Sunday served notices on its two assistant registrars to give explanation in three days as the probe body found their involvement with vandalising estate office and attacking its officials, IU registrar office sources said.
The two assistant registrars are- the personal secretary of the university pro-vice-chancellor, M Abdul Hannan and Alamgir Hossen Khan of treasurer office.
Earlier a four-member probe body, headed by M Ruhul Kuddus Mohammad Saleh of the university’s Islamic history and culture department, submitted their investigation report to the university authorities on Saturday.
The university vice-chancellor Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari told New Age that the university authorities informed the duo about the report.
They would take decision against them after holding a syndicate meeting, he added.
Earlier, the authorities suspended them temporarily over the allegation on May 5.
On May 4, the duo along with eight officers attacked university’s five officers as while they were in a human chain demanding immediate resignation of the pro-vice chancellor M Shahinoor Rahman, that left five officers injured.
