RFL Electronics Ltd, a concern of Rangpur Foundry Limited (RFL), has planned to increase the production of Vision Fan, a signature brand of the company, with a view to meeting a growing demand for the product in the domestic market.
The company has initiated a process to cross production milestone of 5 lakh pieces of fans a year by 2018 from the existing production of around 2.50 lakh pieces of fans a year, officials of the company told a group of reporters during their visit to the production line of the company in the Habiganj Industrial Park in the district recently.
RFL Electronics executive director Md Moniruzzaman said, ‘RFL is now producing 2,000 pieces of fans a day with the assistance of high quality equipment and round the clock labour of 600 workers, while the entity produced 200 pieces of fans daily when production started initially in 2013.’
‘Vision Fan, which has currently 25 per cent market share, will grab the major share of the market within next three years as our product is getting users’ attention day by day,’ he said.
‘Use of high quality silicon and pure aluminium in the Vision fans ensures less weight and electricity efficiency as well,’ the senior official of RFL Electronics said.
A certain quantity of the fans has been exported to India and the company has plan for expanding its export market in different other countries, Moniruzzaman said.
He also said that RFL was also working to develop a product design as per the demand of US-based multinational retailing corporation Walmart.
At present, three models of Vision ceiling fans are being retailed across the country in five designs at prices ranging between Tk 2,550 and Tk 3,250 through RFL’s dealers and its various outlets including BestBuy, Vision Emporium and Easy Build, a statement of the company said.
Different types of fans including LED fan, recharge fan, dinning fan, kitchen fan and toilet fan will be manufactured at the factory in future considering the demand of the users, it said.
