An international conference on ‘the role of nutrition in health and development’ will be held at Islamic University in Kushtia on Saturday.
IU Applied Nutrition and Food Technology department will organise the conference at the university’s Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium at 9:00am, said the convener of the conference professor M Abdus Samad on Friday.
IU vice-chancellor professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will attend at the conference as chief guest while pro-vice-chancellor professor M Shahinoor Rahamn and treasurer professor M Selim Toha will attend as special guests.
Science faculty dean of International Islamic University in Malaysia professor Kamruzzaman-Bin-Yunus, professor of Infection Biology department of Tsukuba University in Japan Misturu Okuwaki and pro-vice-chancellor of Chittagong University of Science Technology professor Nurul Absar will be present as keynote speakers.
