A team led by North South University Global Health Institute conducted a survey of adults between December 12, 2020 and January 7 of to determine the rate of people’s acceptance of COVID-19 vaccine.
The other team members were University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Rangpur-Hypertension and Research Centre and Bangladesh Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, said a press release.
The team visited metropolitan cities, upazilas, villages and urban slums and surveyed 3,647 people through face-to-face interviews in eight districts.
Among the people surveyed, 74.6 per cent had plans to COVID-19 vaccines if the vaccination was free, effective and secure, 17.6 per cent were unsure about taking the vaccine and 7.8 percent were reluctant to take the vaccine.
