Ridoy, Mou emerge champs in Sk Russell TT

Sheikh Russell School Table Tennis Tournament concluded on Friday with Ridoy of Rangpur District School and Mou of Narail Government Girls High School becoming champion in the boys’ and girls’ junior single events respectively.
Ridon beat Akash of Bangladesh Krira Sikkha Pratisthan by 3-0 while Mou beat Afsana of Rajshahi Educational Board in their respective final.
In the boy’s sub-junior single event, Toba of BKSP was crowned champion after he defeated Sun of Pabna Technical School 3-0 while in the girl’s sub-junior single, Tushi of Narail Government Girls High School beat Monami of KAFCO School to manage the championship.
BKSP became champions in the team event after beating Quantum Cosmo School and Narail Government Girls School beat Rajshahi Educational Board to grab the title in the girls’ team event.
In the intellectually disabled category, both Naimul Rahman and Sadia Akter Urmi of Proyash School became champions after beating their respective opponents in the final.
A total of 260 students, including 25 intellectually disabled children, participated in the tournament held at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium.
State minister for youth and sports Biren Shikder distributed the prizes among the winners as chief guest.
