MP Badi gets bail in graft cas

A Chittagong court on Monday granted bail to Awami League MP from Cox’s Bazar-4 constituency Abdur Rahman Badi in a corruption case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission.

Md Ruhul Amin, judge of Chittagong Special Judge Court, passed the order granting his bail petition after he surrendered before the court, said Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury, special public prosecutor of the court.

Abul Kalam Azad, deputy director-2 of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Chittagong filed the case with Double Mooring police station on September 17, 2007, accusing him of amassing wealth worth Tk 75.37lakh illegally and concealing information of his wealth worth Tk 56.11 lakh.
