The police on Thursday evening released labour leader Mushrefa Mishu, who has been struggling to realise demands of Tuba Group workers, hours after her detention.
DB police freed Mishu at about 8:00pm, said Shahidul Islam Sabuj, a central leader of the Garments Sramik Oikya Forum.
He also expected that the other detained leaders kept at Badda police will get release immediately.
The police detained 3 top apparel workers’ leaders, including Mushrefa Mishu, storming into a factory of troubled Tuba Group at Badda in the capital, where the workers were on hunger strike since July 28, this afternoon.
The police firing rubber bullets and teargas shells have vacated the Tuba Group factory premises where its workers had been observing a hunger strike unto death programme demanding payment of their wages and other arrears.
